Standing at the center of the Sacred Wheel, we call in the light of the heavenly realms. We welcome all of the divine beings and awakened ones close… Let them surround us in their light, filling our bodies with healing energy and peace. We send love and gratitude to Spirit, and all who support us with their love. We honour and offer gratitude for the incredible blessings and support we receive. The above realms are where we feel the bliss and peace of Spirit/God/Love surrounding us. The heavenly realms are the realms of the Divine. The awakened ones. Where I find the most peace, love, connection, and a feeling of oneness. When I call in the energy of the above realms I feel light surrounding me…. Infusing everything and filling me with ease. A feeling of grace and very healing energy flowing in everywhere from the divine.
In the above realms there is a feeling of incredible safety and trust. When I call in the energy of above there is a sense of everything always being okay, no matter what is happening. I am always safe in the presence of the Divine. Closeness to God/Spirit feels like being held in the most loving protective arms that exist… Loved so fully and completely. The deepest feeling of peace in my soul that I can ever feel.
Spending time with God/Divine presence that surrounds us helps immensely when we feel fear, pain, loneliness, isolation, and worry. When we allow ourselves to be held and taken care of by God/Spirit/Love, tension can melt away from our minds and bodies. I feel filled and surrounded by light and ease. Protected, fully cared for, and trusting all is well and will be well. A sense of calm floods my being and I’m more able to let go into this precious moment of my life. In this space of connection to Spirit we can feel a deep sense that we are always safe, in every moment, held in the loving arms of Spirit/Love.
However you understand the presence of Spirit, call the Divine to enter into your awareness and life more. Call on the Divine to bring grace and peace into your life. Allow that light and grace to flood your being everywhere you need it. Let the feeling of love and peace wash through and around you….

The Heavenly Realms
This is where divine beings dwell. The light beings, the awakened ones, the angels and spirit guides who are watching over us every moment of our lives. Those we love who have passed over, who we can call on when we need them. In the heavenly realms we allow the grace and light of the Divine to bring the healing energy we are most needing. We call in their strength and love any moment we need it. All things are blessed and cleansed in their light.
In the presence of the Divine I feel like I can get through anything that happens in life. In moments of suffering and emergency, when I pray for help and support from Spirit, it always comes streaming in. I feel a calm come over me… Light always fills the room. Strength and relief of suffering comes over me… My mind feels at peace and I’m able to rest.
This journey into the heavenly realms for you can be time to feel the divine presence of grace and peace flood into your life… giving you a feeling of spaciousness, ease, and freedom. A deeper calm will spread through you, and you will feel more deeply protected and guided through your day. Time will stretch out into a feeling of specious peace and gratitude. Our heart opens and receives the love and healing energy that always surrounds us.

Plants of the Divine
Ceremonial Plants Around the World
Around the world many cultures have used plants in ceremony, ritual, prayer, and magick. Kava, sandalwood, tulsi, blue vervain, jasmine, and lotus. Sacred resins have been used in churches, temples, and ceremonies for thousands of years. Flowers such as rose and lilies placed on altars, leaves burned for their sacred smoke like olive, lavender, rosemary, and mugwort. Many of them sacred to hundreds of different cultures… cypress, cedar, juniper, and tobacco. Plants have helped us enter into a space of prayer and ceremony for tens of thousands of years. We have used the scent and beauty of flowers to make offerings to the Divine, and remind us of the fleeting awesome beauty of life. These plants bring us into a state of deep reverence, gratitude, and appreciation for life and the blessings of the world that surround us.
I am so drawn to the plants that make me feel like I am in a sacred temple, wherever I am. They call me to prayer, and into connection with the beauty of the moment. They help me feel the sacred in all things, with Spirit surrounding me in grace. Flowers in many ways feel like the crown chakra of the plants… Embodiment of the divine energy in plants expressing itself in so much beauty.
This month decorate your altar and home with sacred plants and flowers. Think about your favorite flowers to surround yourself with. Light candles and make offerings of fruit, water, flowers, leaves, and grains. Pull out your crystals or stones and create some crystal grids or mandalas to channel in divine healing energies. Welcome in the flow and grace of divine energy.

Flower Offerings
Sacred Plants & Flowers
I have spent decades making offerings to Spirit… and most often these are offerings of flowers and plants. Flowers are in many ways the most beautiful things nature creates. They are fleeting and ephemeral, which is part of their sacred beauty. Displaying flowers and adding their beauty during ceremony is a way to honour them and celebrate the gorgeous creations of nature. Just make sure you leave enough flowers for the pollinators and the plants themselves to go to seed! Remember the flowers are there for others as well…
I love offering plants that carry especially powerful energy, including them in ritual and gifting them to the spirits, to the Divine. Everyone loves to receive flowers. It is a gift of love, gratitude, and sweetness. I believe all of us including the spirits love gifts and being shown appreciation. Giving offerings is a way to show gratitude. Think of how you respond to receiving gifts! The earth, the Divine, and the spirits all feel your love and gratitude. Just as we do when we receive it from others. When we give love we also receive it… It’s a two way relationship.
Create beautiful offerings and love notes to the Divine... to the spirits that surround you. Write poetry and gratitude prayers. Sing or speak your love. Let them receive your sweetness. Imagine what it feels like on their end to receive. How would you like to be shown love? Everything wants to be loved and treated with sweetnesss and consideration. How do you tend the world around you and let it love you back? Bring flowers, food, love notes, songs, music, and most of all your sweet heart… And let yourself be loved in return.

Creating Incense Blends to Offer the Divine
Thirty years ago I started blending incense for special times of the year, or to make special offerings to Spirit. Incense blends for specific energy… For meditation, love, dreams, protection, sleep, healing. Creating incense blends is a ritual itself, and the way I do it I consider it to be spell. I call the energies and spirits of the plants to me, while grinding the herbs and blending them together into a powder with a mortar and pestle.
You will want to use aromatic plants, as well as any that bring in needed energy you are calling into your life. My favorite bases to use are dried crushed juniper needles, cedar, evergreen resins, copal, dragon’s blood, sweetgrass I’ve grown, sage, or aromatic artemisias like sweet annie. Then I add other herbs with any of those bases, especially of any aromatic plants.
Get yourself a mortar and pestle just for blending incense. You’ll use it for crushing up some of the hard resins, unless you buy them powdered. As you add each herb, call in the energies and spirit of that plant, asking for what you want to receive, and the change you are seeking. Pour your vision into the plants, charging them with energy. Burn some of the incense sending the prayers up into the air. Store the rest of the incense in a container labeled with your intentions and prayers.

Love Letters to the Divine
Daily prayer is a powerful way to communicate with the Divine and feel their light and presence in your life… Prayer can connect you to Spirit every day, and help you to fill up on the love that surrounds you. Call in the healing energy of the Divine during ceremony and healing sessions. Let Spirit hold the space for you, receiving the prayers in your heart. Ask for the support you are needing, for yourself or for someone else. Ask for the Divine’s touch to enter where it’s needed… Prayer is very powerful. Allow the safety of Spirit’s presence to surround you, and fill you with peace. If you are in extreme suffering, continue to ask for relief, calling Spirit to help you with the strength to get through the hard moments and find your way back to peace.

Tarot & Divination
I love using tarot and divination as a way to communicate with my soul and with the spirits that guide me. I am not sure who guides my hands to pick certain cards… but whatever is at work, Divine or not, the cards are so often right on the money when it comes to describing what is happening in my life during a given moment in time. There have been times when I’ll pull cards everyday if I’m needing extra guidance, but I’ve also found that with too many cards I lose a sense of their meaning and significance. Messages will blur one into the next. I tend to do readings every other week, and journal what comes through that feels important to remember in the days ahead.
There are many forms of divination used around the world, but I love tarot decks in particular because of the visual art and writing accompanying them. Very similar to astrology they can provide and immense amount of information. I recommend finding a tarot or oracle deck that you really resonate with. I’ve used many decks that end up not working well if the written words and images don’t really speak to my heart. Before buying a deck, pull a few cards and see if they feel in alignment with what you’re experiencing. If they don’t feel accurate chose another deck. The right deck will speak to you every time you pick and provide deep insight into the heart of things. They can also tell us something about the immediate future, but I don’t believe we should know too much of what’s ahead or we won’t be able to stay present to what is unfolding moment to moment. Clear your mind and sit in meditation before you pick cards. Let your mind empty and your heart open. Ask to receive the messages you need…

Create Your Own Herbal Tarot Deck
I’ve had many students over the years make beautiful herbal tarot decks for divination. They are so wonderful because you can write beautiful messages of guidance that you channel from each of the plants! If you are an artist or know an artist you can channel the spirits of the plants through images… transmitting the energy of the plant to the receiver. If you don’t draw or paint, you can use photographs, collages, computer graphics and manipulated images. So many options!
There are also many herbal tarots already in existence, many available on sites like Etsy. This can also be a way to choose plants to work with daily, or hear the plants that are wanting to come through to support you right now. Let the spirits of the plants speak to you… then drink them and receive their energy and medicine.
