The Gaia School of Healing & Earth Education founded in 2001 by Sage L. Maurer has been offering courses and workshops in sacred plant medicine over the last 20 years based primarily in New England. We offer year long trainings, retreats, and immersion classes in folk and ancestral herbalism. In 2024-2025 we will also offer classes in Toronto, Canada, Sweden, and Colombia. Our courses are in depth trainings in both the physical and spiritual medicines of plants, where students learn from seed to harvest. Explore our current offerings at Gaia!

Our Gaia community is growing around the world.
At The Gaia School we weave together the folk herbalism traditions of our ancestors with science and ceremony. Our sacred plant medicine apprenticeships offer hands-on training in herbal medicine, plant communication, ethnobotany, local plant ecology, ethical wildcrafting, growing medicinals, and medicine making. Students learn how to identify and work with healing plants through a whole growing season. We teach plant communication through tea and garden meditations. Students form deep relationships with healing plants that support them for many years to come!
