About Us
At The Gaia School of Healing & Earth Education, we weave together folk herbal traditions of our ancestors with science and ecology. Our sacred plant medicine apprenticeships offer hands-on training in herbal medicine, ethnobotany, local plant ecology, ethical wildcrafting, growing medicinals, medicine making, and healing rituals.
Students learn to identify and work with plants through the full growing season, forming deep, lasting relationships with many plant teachers. In all of our courses, we teach plant communication, tea meditation, and journeying with the spirits of plants. Rooted in a deep devotion to Gaia and the living earth, our work supports students who go on to offer plant medicine and healing in their communities around the world.
For those drawn to walk the plant medicine path more deeply, we offer opportunities to study with us throughout the year.
Upcoming Apprenticeships and Courses
Our offerings are designed for those seeking in-depth herbal education grounded in community, personal healing, and a deeper intimacy with the natural world. Since 2001, thousands of students have journeyed with us into the plant realms through year-long trainings, retreats, and immersion classes in folk and ancestral herbalism.
We offer both online and in-person courses, with in-person gatherings held in Vermont, Toronto (Canada), Sweden, and Colombia. Our programs provide in-depth training in both the physical and spiritual medicines of plants, guiding students from seed to harvest.
